You’ll develop competencies in injury 和 illness prevention; wellness promotion; examination, 评估, 和 diagnosis; immediate 和 emergency care; therapeutic intervention; 和 health care administration 和 professional responsibility. This is a five-semester, continuous enrollment program with immersive clinical experiences embedded in the curriculum.
- Gain Practical Experience
你会申请, 集成, 和 evaluate a wide variety of specific health care skills under the direction of an approved preceptor. Approved clinical settings include prevention 和 wellness; urgent 和 emergent care; primary care; orthopedics; rehabilitation; behavioral health; pediatrics; 和 performance enhancement.

You have the opportunity to provide athletic training services in a variety of settings 和 populations in Lima, Peru through a rich, h和s-on learning opportunity.
- Become Eligible for Board Certification
Mary’s athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on 认证 for 体育训练 Education (CAATE). By graduating from an accredited curriculum program, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination.
- Secure Your Spot Early
Incoming freshmen who have displayed superior academic performance in high school 和 have been officially admitted to the University of Mary can apply for Early Assurance into our athletic training program.

Originally from Bismarck, ND, I have over 20 years of experience as an athletic trainer as well as over 10 years of teaching in the K-12 setting. After graduate school, I went to Beaver Dam, WI where I was the first athletic trainer at the Beaver Dam 社区 Hospital. During my tenure at the hospital, I was able to grow the sports medicine program to provide athletic training services to multiple area high schools. I started in 2010 at the University of Mary as the Program Director for 体育训练. I am married 和 have three children. I also am the high school gymnastics coach for the Bismarck Public 学校.
